Our trip to Burt's Farm and a Family Update!!!

I know it has been months since I have posted but we have been SO busy!!! Austin is growing like a weed. He is 7 1/2 months and weighs about 20lbs. Andrew has started 4th grade and is playing Fall Baseball so his schedule alone is pretty overwhelming. We also have some exciting news...we are expecting baby #3 on 4/11/11!! I am 13 weeks along and at our last appt. they "guessed" that it looks like another baby boy! But we won't know for sure till the end of this month. We are so excited! I wanted to post some pics from our trip to Burt's Pumpkin Farm today! We do it every year and this year the weather could not have been more perfect. What a beautiful day it was!

Recents Pics of Austin

I know it has been months since my last post....sorry!! I have kinda had my hands full :) I just wanted to post a few quick recent pics of Austin so everyone could see his absolutely precious smile!! He is cooing and talking and giggling and smiling up a storm these days. He is such a wonderful baby and has such a sweet little spirit. Everyone at our house is just so in love with him for obvious reasons. Hope everyone enjoys the new pics and I will try and post more soon!!!

Austin's Newborn Photos

We took Austin to get his newborn pictures done earlier this week. He was such a trooper. We were there for over 2 hours between taking the pictures and ordering our prints and he was tolerant of the whole thing. We got some beautiful shots that we will be able to treasure forever! Hope everyone enjoys them :)

Austin's Arrival!!!

It's official! Austin was born on February 16th 2010 at 8:43am. He was 9lbs 3oz, 20 3/4 inches long! We could not be more thrilled to finally have him as a part of our family. I was scheduled to be induced on the 16th but ended up going into labor on my own about 2 hours before we were scheduled to arrive at the hospital. Everything went very smoothly and much quicker than expected. I went into labor at home around 2:30am, got to the hospital around 4:30am and Ausitn was in our arms at 8:43am. Here are a few pictures from our journey. Thank you to everyone who has kept our family in your thoughts and prayers!!!

Tuesday it is!!!

This past Tuesday we went in for our last Dr.'s visit before Austin's arrival. We found out that I am 4 cm dilated which means that my induction should go fairly smooth (fingers crossed). My Dr.'s set my induction date for Tuesday the 16th at 5 am. I cannot believe that it is truly almost over! By this time next week we will be holding our little man in our arms! Needless to say we are beside ourselves excited! I will do my best to get a post up with pictures as soon as we are home and settled. We just ask that everyone please have our family in your prayers that day as we welcome our new little one. Also, please say an extra prayer for Andrew. Hospital policies do not allow him to come visit Austin due to the H1N1 outbreaks (no one under 18 is allowed to step foot in the hospital unless they are admitted as a patient) and he is VERY disappointed about it so please say alittle prayer to lift his spirits till he get to meet his baby brother face to face!!! Thank you all for your love and support throughout my pregnancy!

Come on Ausitn!

Well, today's Dr.'s appointment was pretty uneventful. I am 37 weeks and measuring 39...still big. Everything looks good. Now we wait! My Dr. will not induce me before 39 weeks which is the 15th so unless Austin comes on his own we have just under 2 weeks till he arrives! I go again next Tuesday and he will check to see if I have dilated any more so I will post another update then. I plan on eating some Eggplant Parmesan this weekend to see if that will help get things going....I'm getting desperate, can you tell!?! :) Until next time.....

Austin Update!!

Well, I went to the Dr. yesterday and found out that I am 1 1/2 to 2 centimeters dilated and 75% effaced (or thinned) which at first I thought was exciting but then I found out that I could stay like that all the way up till my due date...BOO!!! I did however find out that my Dr. is not going to let me go past 39 weeks because Austin is measuring big and since Andrew was a 9 pounder he wants to take Austin a week early to avoid any possible complications. I will be 39 weeks on February 15th. There is no date set for the induction yet. I go back again next Tuesday and I will post another update after that visit. As some of you know I am planning on going 100% natural this time. EVERYONE calls me crazy when I say that but I have good reason. I had about a years worth of blinding headaches after Andrew was born and they think the headaches were caused by the epidural. I promised myself that I would do everything in my power to go natural with Austin. I made it all the way to 7 cm with Andrew before I got the epidural so I really think with the right support system and a positive attitude I can do it!! So I am asking everyone to please keep me (and baby Austin of course) in your prayers.....I am gonna need all the help I can get :)
